The Mistake of Today's Church

In my time spent inside the four church walls, it became very obvious that the men of God that were supposed to be leaders..mighty warriors..were, for the most part..just "good boys"..We have been taught all of our lives, really, that what we need to do is: "Don't drink. Don't smoke. Go to school. Go to work. Be a good worker. Come home.Be a good father. Good husband. Then come back to church and start the whole process over again".

What I have found is that what my heart yearns and longs for are no longer in the four walls of what we have called "church"..What happened to the wild, passionate, exploring, conquering male? I want the adventure God created me for..I long to have a warrior teach me how to be dangerous and feared by the devil..I want to be a part of something more than "who's turn is it to collect the offering"..Something real..something life changing..community changing..city changing..WORLD CHANGING..

I was created for much more than just showing up to meetings..Much more than just keeping my nose clean..much more than being a bench warmer..

I WAS CREATED IN THE IMAGE OF GOD AND FEEL CASTRATED BY NOT ONLY THE WORLD AND IT'S SYSTEM, BUT THE CHURCH AS WELL.

I want my "Braveheart" back.

And when I do get my Braveheart back. God will dwell in me and do things through me that I have only dreamed of.
